When you look to the stars, what do you see?  
Do you see satellites or do you see rockets? If rockets,  
do they fly or do they fall,  
— take us to the moon or  
— blast your homes and schools and hospitals? If satellites,  
do they fly or do they fall,  
— beam human connection or  
— misinformation and propaganda and hate?

Food is left on my dinner plate  
— while children starve in Gaza;  
— I scrape it into the trash with a pang of regret  
— that I cannot transport it to them,  
where the storms are not rain, not wind, not thunder,  
— but rockets and rubble and rage.

There's no justice in a genocide state  
— hear the strength of their broken lungs
